The North Valley is heading to the Midwest! This Saturday, March 7th, Professor Joshua Guerra and Christian Wence are representing Refuge BJJ at the 2026 Indianapolis International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

We are incredibly proud of the work these athletes have put in on the mats. Now it’s time to show the BJJ community what Refuge is all about!

How to Watch Live

You can catch all the action live from your phone or computer. The IBJJF streams every mat on their official YouTube channel. The event is running across 7 competition mats, and each mat has its own livestream. Once brackets and mat assignments are posted, you can follow the correct mat stream to watch the matches live.

Valentine’s Day Parents Night Out at Refuge BJJ

Looking for a fun and safe way to enjoy Valentine’s Day while your kids have an amazing night of their own? Refuge BJJ is hosting a Parents Night Out on Saturday, February 14th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, giving parents the perfect opportunity to enjoy a night out while kids stay active and entertained.

A Fun and Safe Night for Kids

During Parents Night Out, kids will enjoy a structured evening at Refuge BJJ that includes supervised activities, games, and plenty of movement in a positive and supportive environment. Our experienced staff will be on-site the entire time to ensure your child is safe, engaged, and having fun.

This event is open to kids of all experience levels, whether they already train with us or are new to Refuge BJJ.

As we move into the holiday season, we want to help all students and families plan ahead for upcoming closures and schedule adjustments. Please review the following changes to ensure you don’t miss training opportunities during this busy time of year.

🦃 Thanksgiving Schedule

Thursday, November 27 – Friday, November 28

The academy will be CLOSED for Thanksgiving.

Saturday, November 29

  • No Fundamentals
  • Open Mat at 11 AM for Youth and Teen/Adult

🎄 Christmas Schedule

Wednesday, December 24 – Thursday, December 25

The academy will be CLOSED for Christmas.

Friday, December 26

  • Open Mat at 10 AM for Youth and Teen/Adult

Saturday, December 27
