Join us tonight at 5:00 PM as we celebrate Coach Bruce’s Black Belt Promotion at Refuge Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy.

This is a special milestone and an opportunity for our community to come together and recognize the years of dedication, discipline, and hard work that go into earning a black belt.

We will be having a potluck celebration, so feel free to bring something to share. Finger foods or items that don’t require a fork are best.

Please wear a traditional gi in white, blue, or black for the ceremony.

After the promotion ceremony, we’ll continue the tradition with promotion rolls on the mats.

Everyone is welcome to attend and help us celebrate this important moment.

This February, we have a unique opportunity to come together as a team to elevate our training and support our competitors as they prepare for the highest levels of competition.

We are thrilled to announce a special Fundraiser BJJ Seminar featuring the legendary Professor Jair Lourenco, taking place this coming Thursday, February 19th, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

A Seminar with a Purpose

This isn’t just another training session. This is a donation-based seminar designed to help our academy reach a major milestone. All funds raised during this event will go directly toward hosting our Masters Worlds Camp later this year.

Specifically, these donations will help us bring out the world-renowned Head Coach, Professor Bruno Moreno, to lead an intensive training camp right here at Refuge BJJ. Professor Moreno’s expertise is instrumental in preparing our athletes for the Masters Worlds and Jiu-Jitsu Con in August 2026. By participating in this seminar, you aren’t just improving your own game—you are investing in the success of your teammates and the reputation of our academy on the global stage.
